How to Bulk Create, Modify, and Disable Users in Declaree

If you are using an API connection or SCIM to retrieve user information, please note that at the next sync, your updated information will be overwritten by the data sent via the connection. In this case, ensure that updates are made within your API or SCIM connection.

Bulk managing users in Declaree is a straightforward process that can save you a lot of time. Follow these steps to efficiently add multiple users at once.

  1. Log in to Declaree:

    • Navigate to the Declaree website and log in with your admin credentials.

  2. Access User Configuration:

    • From the dashboard, navigate to Configuration.

  3. Navigate to Users Section:

    • In the Configuration menu, select Users.

  4. Download the Template:

    • In the Users section, look for the More dropdown button.

    • Click on More, then select Download.

    • This will download an Excel file template to your computer.

  5. Fill Out the Excel Template:

    • Open the downloaded Excel file.

    • Fill in the user information in the respective columns. Ensure all required fields are populated. Common columns might include:

      • Username

      • Initials

      • First name

      • Lastname prefix

      • Last name

      • Email

      • Code

      • Code (2)

      • Accountno.

      • Submits to

      • Approves to

      • Assistants

      • Groups

      • Language

      • Roles

      • Enabled

      • Expires at

      • Subdomain

      • Invited

To Modify or Disable Users:

  • Modify Users: Update the existing user information as needed.

  • Disable Users: Set the Enabled column to no for users you want to disable.

Save the Completed Template:

  • After filling in all the necessary information, save the Excel file.

Upload the Template:

  • Return to the Users section in Declaree.

    • Click on More again, and this time select Upload.

    • Choose the completed Excel file from your computer and upload it.

Confirm and Review:

  • Review the uploaded information to ensure everything is correct.

    • Confirm the upload to finalize the addition of new users.

Tips for a Successful Bulk Upload

  • Double-check for errors: Ensure there are no typos or missing information in the Excel file.

  • Use correct formats: Make sure that email addresses and other fields are in the correct format.

  • Keep backups: Always keep a backup of your original Excel file.

By following these steps, you can efficiently add multiple users to Declaree without manually entering each user individually.
